Days of Commemoration

(9 June 2007) 24th day of the 4th Lunar Month – Guan Sheng Di Jun Cheng Dao

There is only one day of celebration for the month of June 2007. This is the enlightenment of Guan Sheng Di Jun, more commonly known as Guan Gong. He was a historical figure in China around 200 BC, and was also a central figure in the classic tale of The Romance of Three Kingdoms. Up till today, Guan Gong has been a symbol of righteousness, loyalty and bravery. He is one of the protectors of the Prayer Hall and he also upholds the rules and propriety.

Tao Sermon – 16th and 17th June 2007

With the onset of winter, coldness fills the air, but our cultivation hearts are kept warm with numerous Family Prayer Halls celebrating their anniversaries this calendar month. On the 16th and 17th of June, Tiandi Prayer Hall in Brunswick is holding a two day sermon with Tao speakers from Taiwan. The sermon starts at 9:30 am sharp and ending around 5 pm on both days. With the grace of our Master, a light vegetarian lunch and dinner will be provided for those who attend the sermons. All Tao kins please make an effort to be present on both days as this is a great opportunity for us to learn more about our own cultivation process.

Blood Drive

Finally on Sunday 1st July 2007, the Australian Red Cross has organized the Bundoora Blood Centre to be opened from 9:30 am to 1 pm to enable members of Tiandi Prayer Hall to donate their blood.
