Deformity of the world is in real fact the deformity of men’s mind. If men, being inhabitants do not wish to sin, how can the world sin? Men are the determining factor in doing things.
Thus: “You can be your own best friend; you can also be your own worst enemy; it is all in your doing.” Religions, from ancient to modern times, which stem from the teachings of Philosophers and Sages such as Lao-Tsze, Confucius, Mencius, Buddha, Jesus Christ and Mohammed, act as a Guilding Light to inspire men toward moral awareness and the search for a Truth within themselves. The success behind worldly establishment of religions until today, is their common root of a basal principle - - The Great Tao or Universal Law of Truth. Though names of Spiritual Truth used by Sages may differ, yet the “way” to God is essentially one and the same for all. Names of Spiritual Truth given by sages: | Lao-Tsze - | Valley Spirit | | Confucius - | Conscience | | Buddha - | Buddha Nature/Bodhi Mind | | Jesus Christ - | Holy Spirit | | Muhammad - | Soul |
Example:
Distributaries branching out from the same river may start off at different points and times, and bearing different names; but the supply of water content which each receives from its source does not vary. Besides it is the water which serves a purpose to men not the names of the distributaries. To the same extent, the Pre-eminent Genius that predominates over all the systems of the whole physical universe is known to men as God, Universal Law of Truth or the Great Tao. Which ever preference men may use, it is the ultimate salvation of all mankind and that must include the reader. As reality is a solidifying force, men must therefore overlook all material forms and endeavour earnestly without bias toward a COMMON GOAL. Moreover, by nature “all men are brothers.” |
