Members of the Australian Nationwide I-Kuan Tao Headquarters Inc. have raised in excess of $11,000 for the Victorian Bushfire Appeal 2009 donated through the Australian Red Cross.

7 February 2009 will forever live in the memories of all Australians. The devastation of Black Saturday had affected the lives of so many. Heart-strings were pulled on millions more and despite the economic downturn, Australians gave generously. The spirit of Australians can be summed up Prime Minister Kevin Rudd's speech during the memorial service on 22 February 2009. "For Black Saturday, what we saw at work was the worst of nature, but the best of humanity."

The Australian Nationwide I-Kuan Tao Headquarters Inc. would like to thank all members  who have generously donated towards the appeal.

Condolences goes out to those who are directly and indirectly affected by the tragedy. To all the CFA volunteers, the SES and firefighters, "Thank You"

INSPIRATIONAL QUOTES

The buddhist doctrine is in this world, and not to be separated from our daily life; To search for enlightenment apart from this world, is equal to seeking horns on a rabbit.
