Review 1: For English-speaking Initiates to Tao, this is a well written, logical progression of information pertaining to Tao. The questions that you were afraid to ask are briefly touched on. The grammar, composition, terminology and definitions are simply clarified making this booklet a joy to read and understand. Naturally, it is up to the reader to seek this precious knowledge and like an umbrella; the mind can work only when it is open. This is a book for seasoned Taoists as well as “Beginners”. It is a “must-read”. Of particular interest to me are the sections on Temple Introduction & Etiquette. As with Tian Di’s excellent “Elementary Class” booklet, “For Beginners” needs to be read in conjunction with a presenter who can explain finer details and relate concepts through testimonies and parables.
